Wayside rest area with an old spring. They didn't re-connect the spring to the pipe after they fixed it up in 2021, since the water is not safe to drink anymore, but there is a nice spring water fall area on the south end of the rest area with some picnic tables.

From the Gustavus website: in 1986 - The Borgeson Cabin was moved from Norseland, MN to the Arboretum. The Borgeson Cabin was home to a Swedish immigrant family and is a wonderful example of traditional construction.

Touring the fort site quick. I'll have to come back some day and explore more of the trails and the campground.

Quite the steep hill with a very skinny street, fun on the mountain bike, not sure it would have been fun with a car. Plus the river is quite a ways down from where the road is, with no concrete launch.
