A very beautiful viewpoint, but if you're not athletic, avoid the descent/ascent via the "staircase." It's completely covered in snow and ice, of course, and turns into a bobsleigh track. To avoid falling, I went all the way down on my bottom (a huge slide several hundred meters long). I had a blast, like a kid at 55!

A small open hut on top of Aalistunturi hill (elevation 372m). The hut is a former Fire Warden's hut, used for that purpose decades ago. A hiking trail leads to the hut from nearby forest road. The hike up is not physically very demanding and the trail is in fairly good condition. Reaching the parking lot requires a long drive along unpaved roads, but those are in good condition.

Nice spot to spend the night, there's lot of space for tents, a dry toilet, clean water from the river and a fireplace. I'd suggest to put the tent a bit away from the latter since it's popular among the local fishermen, who like to grill in the middle of the night after their fishing trips. Also motor boats are quite noisy.
