Unfortunately, there aren't many parking spaces if you drive through the gorge. We were there early in the morning. The hiking trail starts right next to the road. After about 400 meters, you'll reach the lower suspension bridge over the Bicajel River.

Very nice route, but at the same time a lot of care! For many it may seem easy, but it is not. Many cyclists have experienced this unequipped route and ended up in hospital. Preferably a DH equipment (as many features as possible). It was very pleasant and interesting.

Generally, dogs are welcome on many hiking trails in Neamț, especially in natural areas. However, it's always advisable to check specific regulations for national parks or protected areas like Ceahlău National Park, where some restrictions might apply. Always keep your dog on a leash and clean up after them.
The best time for waterfall hikes in Neamț is typically during spring and early summer when snowmelt contributes to fuller, more impressive cascades, and the surrounding nature is lush. While specific 'hidden gems' are often discovered by local exploration, the region's geology ensures many smaller, less-frequented cascades exist off the main paths. Exploring trails that venture deeper into the forested valleys and river gorges, away from the most popular routes, can lead to discovering tranquil and secluded waterfall spots.
While the region is rich in water features, designated wild swimming spots directly at waterfalls might be limited due to safety concerns or protected status. However, areas around lakes like Lake Bicaz (Izvorul Muntelui Dam) might offer opportunities for swimming or water activities, though it's always important to check local regulations and safety conditions.
For waterfall hikes in Neamț, it's recommended to wear sturdy hiking boots with good grip, as trails can be uneven and potentially slippery near water. Layered clothing is advisable due to varying elevations and weather conditions. Bring rain gear, sufficient water, snacks, and a map or GPS device. Depending on the season, insect repellent might also be useful.
