The ferry port at Halsa is the end (or start, if heading anti-clockwise) of the Fjordruta. Inland, the next DNT cabin along the route is Jutulbu, beneath the broad mass of Tussan. From the port, you can take a ferry back to Kristiansund. For timetables, see: https://entur.no/

Occupying a lovely spot at the end of the Foldfjorden, Ålmo is a picturesque village. Comprising half-a-dozen farms and a scattering of houses, it's an idyllic location that forms part of the Fjordruta long-distance trail. Peaks visible from the village include Dalamannen, Bårdsetfjellet, Aresvikfjellet and the mountains of Tustnastabban.

Gullstein kirke is a beautiful church and a lovely foreground to Tustna and Stabblandet's peaks. It can hold up to 300 people and was built in 1869. The Fjordruta long-distance trail passes the building.

Beautiful nature. There is a gravel road with some spots to camp. These spots are flat, but also covered in the sharp gravel. Wouldn't risk it without a groundsheet for the tent. Plenty of blueberries around 🫐 The road is quite close but at night there isn't much traffic.
