A lovely rest area with a bench and ashtray for smokers, therefore very clean and idyllic.

So, in autumn/winter, you can only hike through this forest if it hasn't rained for a long time. I had to turn back because there were deep ruts in the trail – all filled with large puddles. Unfortunately, it went on like that for ages.

A quick note for all dog owners. When walking around the lake, which is very beautiful, a dog must be on a leash (I think this only applies near the lake).

In the archives of the Kirchseeon local history association, there is also a small reference to the former mud bath in Buch. This mud bath was a popular destination at the beginning of the 20th century. And so it wasn't just bathers from the district who came there. Many people from Munich visited the bath, as it was known far beyond the district borders for its warm springs and its alleged healing properties. A kiosk on site provided the necessary refreshments. However, when children came out of the water in the 1960s with a rash that was unknown at the time after bathing in the mud bath, the mud bath was closed. But this was only one reason. Another reason why the mud bath was not reopened is probably due to the increasing number of new outdoor pools that were being built. And so the mud bath fell into oblivion. The kiosk eventually had to close. Today, only a part of the mud bath remains. This is embedded in the forest in a depression.

The Chapel of St. Ursula is a late Gothic building with a pointed roof. All that remains of the former Ursula Chapel, which dates back to 1315, are the foundations in the ground. Altarpiece of St. Ursula Ursula, daughter of a Christian king in Brittany, stands elegantly dressed, with a crown on her head and a palm branch and a lily in her hand on clouds, surrounded by ten virgins with bouquets of flowers in their hair and palm branches in their hands. All eleven suffered an early death because of their faith. The palm branches refer to her martyrdom and her assumption into heaven.
