The Monteferro viewpoint offers views over Vigo, Baiona and Nigrán. It consists of an area 500 meters high that goes into the sea and is surrounded by pine forests with different paths to enjoy the surroundings. At the top of the hill there is a monument dedicated to the martyrs of the sea and a statue of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of sailors. The north side of the mountain was a strategic military site where remnants of war such as heavy artillery cannons still remain.
