Er versorgt den Parksee mit dem Wasser, das rund 450 Meter unterhalb des Stempflesees vom Brunnenbach ausgeleitet wird. 2021 beschloss der Stadtrat von Augsburg den Zigeunerbach in den Stempflebach umzunennen.
