GEFINKELT
August 25, 2026, Shelter with Benches and Fire Pit

Lunsentorpet is a small historic forest cabin in the nature area Lunsen south of Uppsala and a popular resting point on the Upplandsleden. The simple cabin is located secluded between forests, moorlands and rocky terrain and conveys a particularly original Swedish nature feeling. For hikers, it is a nice stopover to take a break and enjoy the tranquility of the vast Lunsen forest.

The Värdsätra estate is located southwest of Uppsala on the edge of Hågadalen and is part of an old cultural landscape of fields, meadows, and forest areas. The historic estate is reminiscent of the long agricultural use of the surrounding area and blends harmoniously into the landscape with its buildings and avenues. On hikes through the Hågadalen–Nåsten nature reserve, Värdsätra forms a charming transition between open agricultural landscape and natural forest sections.

Here you will find the Lunsentorpet, there are 8 beds (but you should bring your own sleeping bag), a stove, a table with several chairs and many other useful things. It is definitely a good place to rest for a night!
