The narrow path to this spot is worthwhile, also because of the mistletoe (the willow tree is overflowing), but don't expect to reach the Achterwasser here! Of course, there's no point in wanting to swim here, and you probably won't be able to a little further back either. - As for the view: You can't see the water from the meadow path or trail, but you'll have plenty of opportunities for that in Mönkebude.

This parking lot is quite close to the beach area and really great, but unfortunately, there's a fee. They even want to collect tourist tax in the incredibly clean town of Mönkebude!

Although the place was first mentioned in documents in 1244, the inhabitants did not have their own religious building for many centuries. At the beginning of the 20th century there was an economic boom, as a result of which a church was built for the first time.[1] Under the direction of the Stettin architect Rudolf Sack, craftsmen built a small hall building. The shape of its church tower is reminiscent of a lighthouse. The plaster was renewed in 1993. At the turn of the year 2002/2003, a 40 m2 photovoltaic system went into operation on the gable roof, which the parish had previously installed. It has an output of up to 4.8 kWp. In 2016, algae grew on the facade, which required renovation. Source https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Petri_(M%C3%B6nkebude)
