The district of Garstadt is beautifully nestled between the Main and a 30 m high steep slope that supports the church, which can be seen from afar, and, downstream from the Main, the first vineyards south of Schweinfurt. On the left bank of the Main we find remains of alluvial forest in the Garstadter Holz, which contain botanical and zoological rarities.
