Schloßstraße 6 - an information board tells of its history. The "Schloßapotheke" changed hands several times; Julius Otto Mulfinger, among others, ran the pharmacy from 1884 to 1909. His monument stands directly opposite.

Lt. Information board: The linden tree was planted in 1421. According to legend, it was planted upside down – with the roots up and the branches down. An accused person hoped for a divine judgment to prove their innocence if it nevertheless bloomed. Today, the vital linden tree is a natural monument.

Very beautifully designed garden. According to the information board: From up here, the panorama of the Ore Mountains (Osterzgebirge) is fully in view, from the Altenberg area along the ridge to the highest mountains of the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) - the Keil (1244 m) and the Fichtelberg (1215 m). In many places in this garden, the view will wander over plants into the distance, to where their home was and is. Arnica and angelica come from up there in the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge); they used to be widespread medicinal plants, today they are very rare, strictly protected, of course. Who knows how many herbs are added, which enrich the kitchen and the pharmacy, they come from up there and also from the immediate surroundings of Augustusburg. Anna had the local women knowledgeable about herbs diligently collect and deliver. On the other hand, both Anna and August had a strong inclination to trade for, receive as gifts, or exchange for their own foreign, even exotic, plants for their castle gardens. Many of these species are found here in the Annagarten Augustusburg, not a few were first cultivated at this time or were still quite rare, such as tomatoes or chicory and endives. The great interest of Anna and August in herb plants is evidenced by the commission they gave to the experienced Torgau town physician Johannes Kentmann to compile a comprehensive and instructive book about herbs. Kentmann's "Kreutterbuch" appeared in 1563, became very famous, and described 600 herb plants and fruit species.
