Myakka River State Park is a vast and diverse natural area spanning 37,000 acres. Visitors can explore the park through numerous hiking trails, boat tours, and scenic drives. The Myakka River supports an abundance of bird life, including roseate spoonbills and alligators.

Deep Hole has the appearance of a collection of ponds, lakes, and wetlands at the end of the double-track Deep Hole Trail. In reality, this 131-foot deep sinkhole is home to dozens of alligators and should be appreciated from a distance. It's located just south of the large Lower Myakka Lake.

This is a great winding trail through a nicely forested area, providing pleasant shade during your run. It makes for a relatively easy run with minimal hills, and the loop is almost a mile in length. Several spots along the way offer stunning views of the area.
