Breathtaking views into the gorge. A good opportunity to spot vultures.

The Puente de Uzún is the only way across the Rio Salazar. In summer, it's a great place for swimming.

There is very little shade on the entire circular route, only the last, short section in the gorge has shade. In summer it can get as hot as 40 degrees Celsius and then only the section in the gorge is recommended, not the circular hike.

A very nice gorge to visit. We didn't expect. The many vultures that sat on the edges of the canyon were an added value

This wonderful and impressive canyon formed by centuries of erosion of the Irati River is a place that you cannot miss. You can follow the circular path or do just the section along the Vía Verde de Irati crossing tunnels and bridges. Any alternative path you take, I assure you that the landscape will surprise you!
