A beautiful little church in a wonderful location. Since Erkensruhr didn't have its own church, the village residents always had to go to Dedenborn to attend mass. After World War II, the residents strove to build their own church. Thus, the current branch church was built in 1948.

Very nice rest stop! It's also located next to a stream, so it's nice and cool there in the summer. 👍

Since Erkensruhr lacked a church of its own, the villagers always had to go to Dedenborn to attend mass. After the Second World War, the residents strove to build their own church. Thus, the current branch church was built in 1948. It was consecrated on October 9, 1949. St. Hubertus is a simple hall church made of rubble stone with four axes. To the east is the choir, closed on three sides, and behind it the sacristy. Above the west gable rises a square turret with a tent roof. The exterior is structured by three buttresses on each of the north and south walls. The windows are all round-arched. Source: Wikipedia
