Because of the private jetties, there aren't too many swimming spots on the lakes. However, here is a very nice swimming spot with a large lawn for sunbathing, seating, and a magnificent view of the monastery.

You're standing with your back to the church here. From here, you actually get a good view across the water. There's a nice playground with rest areas. A really big (and peaceful) goose greeted us here.

One of the most beautiful spots with a view of the castle. It's a lovely place to linger. There's a meadow and benches for picnics. That's not so easy to find in the town itself.

The path leads directly along the shore. There's also a small bridge here. The view across the lake is very beautiful. There are a few benches where you can rest.

My dear wife and I passed through here on our tour "Eider Valley with Blue Bridge" on July 21, 1925. We enjoyed the scenery and the weather.

My dear wife and I passed by here on our "Eider Valley with Blue Bridge" tour on July 21, 1925. We were looking for Galloway cattle but didn't see any.

My dear wife hiked this trail, "Eider Valley with Blue Bridge," with me on July 20, 1925. The blue bridge is the first iron structure in this area.
