The former sewage fields are now a landscape perfect for hiking. In 2021, the Spandau district purchased the sewage fields. This was intended to ensure that the area's character is preserved in the long term. Since 2022, funding has also been available to renaturalize the sewage fields and promote biodiversity.

The Chapel The thatched-roof chapel was designed by architect Klemens Weigel in the style of a sheepfold. The reeds for the roof were generously donated by Heinz, a reed-processing entrepreneur from the lakeside promenade. The thatched-roof chapel was consecrated on April 26, 1953. It has been a listed building since 1971. With the name "Am Groß-Glienicke See" (At Lake Groß Glienicke), the new parish maintained a connection to its "mother parish."

Small, relatively unknown and quite hidden, the park surprises with its buildings, meadows, old trees and the view of the Havel. It is definitely worth a visit

Why is it worth it? It just looks great when you stand at the beginning of this "avenue" and the birch trees are on the left and right.
