This granite monument in Głogów's Forest Park commemorates Polish and German victims of war, violence, and expulsion from 1939-1945, with inscriptions in both Polish and German languages. Originally erected in 1926 to honor Friedrich Ebert, the first president of the Weimar Republic, it was repurposed after lengthy negotiations between Głogów city authorities and the Glogauer Heimatbund in the 1990s. The monument was ceremonially unveiled in its current form on May 27, 2000, and consists of two vertical granite blocks topped by a horizontal block.

A bust of Friedrich Schiller, the German poet and philosopher, was originally erected in Głogów's park in May 1905 but disappeared during wartime activities. In March 2021, members of the Głogów Association of Mystery Discoverers (GROT) found fragments of the white marble monument buried in the ground after three days of searching at the original location. The restored bust was returned to the park at Wały Chrobrego in 2021, nearly 78 years after its disappearance, following restoration work funded through the Civic Budget.

This blockhouse was built around 1871 by Prussian fortress engineers as part of the Głogów fortress system and was designed to defend the main road leading from the fortress toward Wrocław. The single-story brick structure features flanking fire positions for small arms and represents typical Prussian fortification architecture from the second half of the 19th century. In 1944, the building was modified for urban warfare by reducing the height of the firing embrasures.
