The Santo Amaro do Areeiro Fort, also known as the Santo Amaro do Rio de Oeiras Fort, the Old Fort or the Areeiro Fort, is located in a dominant position, next to Praia da Lage, on the right bank of the Ribeira da Lage, to the west of Praia de Santo Amaro.
