You pass by the Dubie dolomite opencast mine. The views of such mines and quarries are always quite dramatic. Supposedly, after the mine is finished, it is to be incorporated into the surrounding landscape of the Racławka Valley.

According to the information board here, "Łom Pisarski is the only outcrop in Krakow where a fault formed during the Hercynian orogeny is visible". A bit of text for a surveyor! - sounds serious.
