The McCullough Hills Trail runs between the trailhead at East Mission Drive in Henderson and the trailhead on McCullough Hills Parkway in Anthem. The trail offers stunning desert vistas with gradual elevation gain. It is well-marked and leads through desert terrain, showcasing native flora and fauna and panoramic views of the Las Vegas Valley and the surrounding mountains. You can loop around any of the connecting trails close to the trailheads for a loop hike, or hike the whole trail for a varied and challenging endurance hike.

Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area offers scenic hiking trails amidst a desert landscape, at a short distance from Las Vegas. There are a few different trails of varying difficulty here offering summits, historic artifacts, and endurance trails with panoramic views of the surrounding Mojave Desert and McCullough Range.

As you hike along Trail #100 you will find petroglyphs on the sides of many rocks in the canyon. After passing a dry fall, you will start noticing a high concentration of petroglyphs. Archaeologists have cataloged over 1,700 different design styles in this area, so there is lots to observe! If you loop around Trail #200, the petroglyph gallery continues and then becomes more dispersed as you loop back to Trail #100.
