Rambling River Park is a 76-acre community park near downtown Farmington, Minnesota. It has paved trails for walking and biking. One of the trails runs alongside the Vermillion River, providing public access for fishing. There is a recently updated playground, ball fields, picnic areas with grills, and an ice rink in winter The Vermillion River runs along the park and is the largest stream in Dakota County. It is known for trout fishing, with sections stocked each year and special rules for brown trout. The river starts near Elko, flows east for nearly 60 miles, and joins the Mississippi River. Restoration projects have improved the river by stabilizing banks and protecting fish and wildlife.

This park and conservation area is named after Steve Michaud, who worked as Director of Parks and Recreation at the City of Lakeville for 38 years as the director of Parks and Recreation. The trail starts atop a hill with playing fields, a playground, and facilities. The trail continues down a hill to the conservation area.
