Nice stone bridge that takes you over a small creek that juts out from Jordan Pond. The bridge is part of Carriage Trail, and like the road, it is well maintained.

At the southern end of Jordan Pond there are excellent views of ‘The Bubbles‘, a popular hiking area in ‘Acadia National Park‘.

The Jordan Pond House is beautifully situated on a moraine above Jordan Pond. The location of the restaurant is great.

The famous Jordan Pond House has a restaurant, gift shop, bathrooms, water bottle refilling station, picnic tables, and other amenities. Parking can be extremely difficult in the summer, but alternative transportation is available via the Island Explorer bus system and nearby bike-friendly carriage roads. The free Island Explorer bus system stops at Jordan Pond and runs late June through early October. This is a great option for point-to-point hikes — you can park at one end and take the bus back to your car. Just remember that the busses run in a clockwise loop, so plan your run accordingly! From pebbled Barley Beach you can dip your feet in the ocean at Bracy cove or take a post-run dunk. This is the outlet of Little Long Pond.

Long Little Pond has a carriage road that runs along both sides of the pond, making for great gravel running. Parking is limited here, especially on weekends.
