After the impressive waterfall, the Leuk River flows into the Saar at a sharp angle. This angle is accessible, and the swans also enjoy it here.

During excavations in 2006-2008, a stately theater was found alongside traces of Roman settlement and a sanctuary. It offered 36 rows of seats in a semicircle and space for around 3,500 spectators! After the construction was initially made mostly of wood, the sanctuary and theater were completely built out of stone around 300 AD. Behind the stage area, a wide view of the valley opened up. Visitors can still enjoy this today, as the complex has been freely accessible since 2013. Since 1997, the entire plateau has been a monument zone, after all, a romantic hermitage was built under Prussian aegis according to plans by the famous Prussian architect Schinkel.
