If you’re continuing on the cycle path towards Allinge, be prepared for a steep section just after Ginesmine, where the paved road ends. The path climbs at a 22% incline for about 200 meters. There are stairs with a bike ramp, so you can push your bike up, but it’s no fun with a fully loaded touring setup.

The tower is open and accessible. Unfortunately, the metal structure no longer exists, so the only view you have is of the forest and radar transmitter.

Svaneke Lighthouse The Svaneke Lighthouse, inaugurated in 1920, stands on the Sandkås Odde peninsula south of the harbor on Bornholm's east coast. The square tower is 18 meters high and can be seen from afar thanks to its red roof. The lighthouse's height is stated as 20 meters, and its range is 19 nautical miles. The tower has been out of service since 2010. In 1947, like most of the towers on the island, it was electrified. Today, the lighthouse, including the lighthouse keeper's house, has been modernly restored and converted into a holiday home – a very special vacation accommodation. bornholm-ferien.de/leuchttuerme-bornholm.php

The most beautiful hiking trails, such as the yellow route, are here. For me, as a senior citizen with unsteady footing, good hiking poles are a must.
