On 03.05.26, I found no viewpoint and no access to the open-cast mine area at this location. A little further south (spur from Jenschwalde Ost), the registered viewpoint might have been there, but it was forbidden to enter the area. Unfortunately, we made the detour from our route in vain.

If you let your gaze wander, raise your head, and lose track of time, you will find at the Krayner Ponds what you long to seek in big cities: a piece of tranquility. Here, where the water spreads beneath the sky like an open book, your thoughts begin to wander – just like your feet following this path. The ponds themselves lie silently, framed by forests that stand on the banks like ancient sentinels. Sometimes, light aisles open up, through which the light dances, sometimes the forest embraces you with its green shadows.
