Rolle is a charming hamlet in the municipality of Cison di Valmarino, located in the province of Treviso, in the heart of the famous Prosecco wine region. This small rural village is famous for having been, in 2004, the first Italian village protected by the Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano (FAI). The town stands in the Trevigiane Prealps, along the historic Prosecco Road that connects Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. It is immersed in a unique landscape made of steep slopes with terraced vineyards defined as "heroic". The entire area is part of the Prosecco hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019. The famous poet Andrea Zanzotto loved to frequent these places, defining Rolle as a true "postcard of the gods" because of its breathtaking panorama and its unchanged atmosphere of times past. The origins of the ancient village are linked to a settlement of a community of Benedictine monks dating back to the 13th century.

Interesting junction from where you can take route variants, perhaps as far as Piancavallo just to name one, or continue with the classic Cansiglio loop.

Halfway between Crosetta and Campon, it is one of the few challenging ramps on the entire route

Very steep through the vineyards on a paved road, but the views of the surrounding hills are really worth it!
