The Luisenbrücke bridge over the Neue Achen river at the outflow of Lake Simssee was rebuilt in spring 2025 for €224,000. Fifteen ten-meter-long oak piles were driven into the swampy ground for this environmentally friendly and sustainable wooden structure in the nature reserve.
