A special feature of St. Petri Church: In the choir next to the altar stands the sandstone baptismal font; it dates from around 1200. Traces of a frieze of acanthus leaves can be recognized on the upper edge. At that time, it was used sometimes as a cattle trough and sometimes as a cooling basin for the blacksmith's hot iron.

The Tannenbergallee Bridge over the Mittelland Canal is a real insider tip in Hanover. From here, you have a wonderful view of the canal, especially as the sun sets over the horizon in the evening. ✨ Whether it's a romantic date, a small picnic, or simply a relaxing moment after a day's sightseeing – the atmosphere here is unique. The passing boats and the reflection of the sun in the water make this place truly special.

The POI is set at Hannover Langenhagen Airport, not at Wunstorf Air Base.

This bridge over the Wietze River not only holds a special place in my heart in a figurative sense, as it finally provided a way to cross the river after the confusion over the Papenburg company's land for gravel mining at Lake Wietze, but also features several stones incorporated into the railing. In some places, several stones are even embedded one above the other in the metal struts, which also provides a reference to the origin of the saying contained in the name of this highlight... The annoying engraved locks – now ubiquitous in places with stalls – do detract from the visual appearance a bit, but they don't yet affect the structural stability as much as they do at other landmarks, where they have to be regularly milled off.

Both are considered sports, especially when working with high-quality equipment. That's about it as far as the similarities go.😊😉🤣
