Next to the oak tree is a rustic seating area that invites you to linger and rest. An information board provides historical information and explanations about the tree's history... Approximately 375-year-old oak tree. A natural monument. It is named after the village of Meßfeld, which existed on this site until around 1400. Unfortunately, the paths here aren't particularly scenic.
