Its fortified church from the 10th century, which was restored in the 15th century, is a church listed as a Historic Monument. The covered market A concentrate of local culture awaits you on "Rue du marché"! With its beautiful 1930s building typical of the Charente style, the covered market is at the heart of life in Châtelaillon. Under its glass roof, you will find everything you need to treat yourself to a 100% Charente meal: cheesemaker, butcher, fishmonger or caterer, the 17 traders are proud to offer you their local products ... and guaranteed quality! I came to this place to spend the night in a campsite. As a healthy route to walk and have a first contact with the place it is fine. Quiet beaches (at least when I came) that allow you to be on the shore lost in your thoughts and disconnect.
