The hermitage of Santa Bárbara is a small, historic place of worship, nestled in a picturesque landscape. The hermitage is one of the many religious buildings in the region and used to serve the local believers as well as the snow collectors who worked nearby in the snow houses such as the “Cava Gran”. It was a place of reflection and prayer, especially during difficult times such as natural disasters or epidemics. The Serra de Mariola Natural Park offers numerous routes that pass by the hermitage of Santa Bárbara.
