This chapel was built by Berta and Paul Schäfer in 1964. They fulfilled a promise they had made after their seriously ill son, only a few weeks old, recovered. The mosaic image inside the chapel, depicting the Virgin Mary and the Infant Jesus, was designed and created by the artist Sister Ursula Müller, a former Sulzheim resident who was Superior General of the Order of the Sisters of the Redeemer.

If you have some time, a break at the Hörnau lakes is worthwhile. In addition to the large and the small lake, there are several small ponds, all of which are connected by water courses. Birds in particular feel comfortable on the water, maybe you can observe some animals.
