Beautiful historic town center, worth a detour.

It's worth a stop! Information boards on both sides of the bridge tell the rich history of both towns. A detour to the historic town center is definitely worthwhile. I especially recommend a visit to the small castle and a climb to the tower (€1). From there, you'll enjoy a fantastic view of the surrounding area and the bridge.

The walkways look really nice... it's a shame that visitors aren't allowed to walk on them.

The palace is a three-winged structure facing west, with an east-facing service section opposite. The main wing and the narrow west wing are built in the Renaissance style, while the north wing dates back to the Rococo period. History After 1525, use as a monastery ceased, and the building was converted into a manor. 1594/1604: Construction of a new building under Leopold von Hanstein. 18th century: Addition of the Rococo north wing. In midsummer, you can barely see the lake because the reeds are quite high. The boardwalks are rickety and may only be used by members of the local fishing club, but they do offer a beautiful view of the lake.
