The current white lighthouse on Koningin Wilhelmina Boulevard dates from 1923 and replaced a wooden tower from the 19th century. With six stories, 108 steps, a lighthouse height of over 33 meters, and built of brick and reinforced concrete, it is a distinctive building. From spring to the end of October, you can visit the tower independently every Sunday between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Back at Afsluitdijk with a view of the lighthouse and the sea. The lighthouse is an icon of the Noordwijk coast. The lighthouse was first lit in 1932. The tower is over 33 meters tall and is open to visitors on Sundays from April to October! Tip: cycle the last stretch along Queen Wilhelmina Boulevard and finish with a well-deserved snack and drink at Nomade Beach House.
