The café is very cozy and offers plenty of peace and quiet for relaxation. The train station is currently about 250 meters away, but in the next few years, the old main line will be reopened and resume regular service. It will then be much faster to get to Berlin, even without changing trains in Karow. Whether the idyllic atmosphere of the old station with its operating café will be preserved is questionable. However, the new station will probably be built diagonally across the street, on the wild meadow and at the edge of the forest, so to speak.

Beautiful location! It's a great place to sit and enjoy your coffee. The only thing missing is a steam locomotive on the old track...

Both lakes belong to the Biesenthal-Wandlitz-Prendener lake district, which includes around 30 large and small lakes. This water landscape was created during the Weichselian Ice Age and is only around 170 meters wide, but almost 13 times as long. On this short crossing you can experience both lakes, which are privately owned. So use the small free spaces you find, because most of them are fenced off and inaccessible.
