This small Marian shrine does not have its name and patronage after one of the many people who are venerated as saints. LORETO is a place of pilgrimage in central Italy, Marche region. The place did not become famous because of apparitions of the Mother of God - like Lourdes in the French Pyrenees or Fatima in Portugal. Rather, a building is venerated there that is considered to be the house of Mary in Nazareth. According to legend, angels brought the house here from Israel - with a few stops along the way. The shrine can be found in the komoot system under the following link: => https://www.komoot.com/de-de/highlight/1580848
