Probably one of the smallest vehicle ferries I've ever seen, it can take two cars, maximum. Run by the Highland Council, with ferries running every 20-30 minutes, and as a shuttle when busy, from 8:00 to 18:00. For more information: https://www.highlandferries.co.uk/cromarty-to-nigg

Nice spot near the beach. Delicious food – we had delicious loaded fries with a variety of toppings and were stuffed and satisfied.

Slaughter House cafe closed in Spring 2025 after the owner was unable to sell the business. It lay empty for a few months but was reopened in the summer under new ownership and it is now called The Last Splash. Very nice couple run it, great coffee - using the same beans as the old owner - and nice selection of cakes.
