Released during the chaos of war in the Balkans and becoming wild over the years, several herds of feral domestic horses can now be found in Croatia. And all this against a magnificent backdrop: The world-famous films about the life of the Apache chief Winnetou were filmed in the hinterland of the Croatian coast.

The monastery is located on the north side of St. Euphemia Bay and was founded in 1444. The adjoining church is adorned with beautiful altars and images of saints of great artistic value. Of particular importance is the polyptych by the brothers Antonio and Bartolomeo Vivarini from the island of Murano in the Venetian Lagoon. An interesting sight is the monastery's wooden ceiling, the Tabulatum, decorated with sacred motifs.

As a multiple winner of the award for the best tourist spot on the Adriatic, the town of Rab is located on a narrow strip of land surrounded by ancient walls. The recognizable sight of the old town is made up of four bell towers, with which Rab resembles a sailing ship with four masts: these are the bell towers of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the church of St. John the Evangelist (located next to the ruins of the church), the church of St. Andrew the Apostle and the church of St. Justin. A little further inland is the beautiful park Komrčar with numerous paths that wind around wooded hills and descend all the way to Rab's beaches.

Krivi Put is a scattered Bunjeva settlement in the hinterland of Senj, located in a wooded area of the Kriviput plateau in Lika-Senj County. Krivi Put is one of the most famous settlements that the Bunjevci, in search of better grazing for their livestock, founded in the early 17th century, after they came to the hard town of Senj in 1605. In addition to Krivi Put, they founded the nearby settlements of Veljun Primorski, Serdari, Alan, Krmpote and Podbilo. The population, which today is largely displaced, is still mainly engaged in animal husbandry. The day of the place is celebrated on August 5, on the day of Our Lady of the Snows.
