The rectangular village pond in Vranov is adorned with five comic figures: three water goblins on the bank opposite the road, a dancer on a lily pad stage, and, well, a boy standing on a jetty who urgently needs to go. Greetings from Manneken Pis in Brussels.

The small sacral building of the Kaple sv. Markéty (St. Margaret's Chapel) stands on the site of a former neoclassical chapel from 1829. This was demolished in 1972 and then replaced by a new building with a small belfry. After the political changes, the chapel was thoroughly repaired in 1991. It now serves again as a meeting place.

One of the two crosses that point to the existence of the extinct village of Hirschsteinhäusel (Czech: Herštejnské Chalupy). Nearby, there are a few more overgrown foundation remnants. Otherwise, nothing more is visible of the village where more than 200 Germans lived until 1945.

Hirschteinhäusel (Czech: Herštejnské Chalupy) is a former village in the municipality of Nemanice. It was first mentioned in writing in 1697. After the Second World War, the German inhabitants of the village were expelled. The village was not resettled due to its remoteness and proximity to the Iron Curtain. In 1955, Hirschsteinhäusel was declared extinct. Only some overgrown foundation remains of the houses are still visible. And a wayside cross commemorates the place, which had 130 inhabitants in 38 houses, almost exclusively Germans.
