Everything was nice, but do expect chaos. We paid for emergency stay, which we already knew upfront about sleeping on the floor of the dining area. But as this is our 1st hike in Poland, we only realise that hiking boots are allowed in the hut, which is something new to us, by the time the dinner is off, no one clean the floor and we just have to secure a small spot under the table along with 60 other hiker in the dining area. There are only 2 shower rooms (shared among male and female) for the whole hut, do cater for a few hours of waiting in line if you can't skip a shower. I survived with just some wet wipes.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED route! :) https://www.komoot.it/tour/2645265731?ref=aso&share_token=aPn37XI5qGPgr6TnRFIaS14czzky9ZEloOuhvbgy4 The view at the top is spectacular. There were four of us in the third week of October. We did the COUNTERCLOCKWISE TOUR (and we recommend it). Tips: - Check the weather forecast before leaving. - There was snow at the top, so the recommended clothing is: layered clothing with tights, waterproof pants, waterproof snow boots (trekking boots), crampons, a thermal shirt, a fleece, a waterproof jacket, and snow gloves. - There's no need to bring too many liters of water because there's a refuge at the top where you can also have lunch (name: Schronisko PTTK w Dolinie). - Sure-footedness and good physical condition are required. -Do not venture out if there's a storm or severe weather. -Even in the rain, the trail can be slippery. (We did NOT have crampons, so we went slowly on the descents and paid close attention.)

oasis of peace😍One of the largest ponds in the Tatras - Czarny Staw Gąsienicowy took its name from the black color that arises from the shadow cast by Kościelec. Getting to the pond from the Gąsienicowa Valley is not difficult, and the distance is worth overcoming, because resting by the water's surface or looking at the surrounding peaks compensates for every effort. https://youtu.be/dkuhN-VDZvk
