The Stations of the Cross in Rommelsried are part of the Calvary Hill, which was donated by the Hörmann family between 1865 and 1868. The Stations of the Cross lead from the southern edge of Rommelsried up to the Holy Sepulchre Chapel, situated on a hill above the village. The installation comprises 13 stations, including three wooden crosses at the end of the path. Some of the original stations were supplemented in the 20th century with newly created wayside shrines, as the original depictions were by the artist Josef von Führich. The reconstruction of the missing stations was possible because the original paintings survived.

The altar in Rommelsried is unique in the region. The congregation in Rommelsried chose a cross with a shroud, two angels, and two armored figures. The Emil Sbitek company from Olomouc in Moravia crafted and installed this altar in 1871. The casket beneath the cross represents the Ark of the Covenant, in which the books of the Old Testament are kept. The cross emerges from the Ark. The figures appear three-dimensional because the makers were already able to produce a wide variety of colors. The fact that the beads still shine so brightly today is thanks to students from the University of Augsburg who cleaned each individual bead with cotton swabs a few years ago.
