August 19, 2026, Serce Puszczy Boulder

The Serce boulder, also known as Młyński Kamień or Młyńskie Koło. All these names refer to the shape of this erratic boulder. It is a flat block of granite that resembles both. It was entered into the register of natural monuments by the Resolution of the Stare Czarnowo Commune Council of 25.10.2004. Like many erratic boulders in Puszcza Bukowa, this one also has impressive dimensions. Its circumference measures 14.5 m and it is 1.5 m high. The width measured in the east-west direction is 4.5 m, and the length in the north-south direction is 4.2 m.

The Lipa Pokoju in the Szczecin Landscape Park „Puszcza Bukowa” is a historical natural monument near Kołowo. The original tree was planted in 1871 to commemorate the end of the Franco-Prussian War, but the current linden tree growing by the commemorative boulder dates from the 1950s and has a circumference of about 180 cm.

Defensive walls with a total length of about 580 meters, including the Bańska Gate and five bastion towers, have survived to this day. Currently, the best-preserved section of the fortifications is in the southeastern corner of the city. It is about 70 meters long and 4 meters high. Two fragments of the wall have also survived on the northern edge of the Old Town, on both sides of Bolesława Chrobrego Street. The preserved Bańska Gate remains the symbol of the city.
