The largest lake in the Łęczyńsko-Włodawa Lake District and the second in the Lublin region. Lake Wytyckie is not as crowded as other, more popular lakes in the Łęczyńsko-Włodawa lake district. This does not mean that it is not equally beautiful, and there is a walking and cycling path around it. The lake is located in the Poleski Landscape Park (the buffer zone of the Poleski National Park). There is a tiny beach on the southern shore, an ideal place to rest after a run.

It runs through the central part of the Sobibór Forests, within the International Biosphere Reserve "Western Polesie". European pond turtles, beavers, moose and many other rare and endangered animal species live here. The flora here seems intact and presents outstanding natural values.
