It's worth going there. The view of the Oder and its former river bed is wonderful. However, the climb is not the easiest, it is a route more suitable for MTB than road cyclists. I used Komoot navigation and got there flawlessly.

You have to get to this place, by bike or on foot, and see how beautiful the view of the Oder is. The entrance is not too difficult, but you can get lost, in the forest the road is overgrown and easy to miss. The descent towards the lock is rather a steep descent with a bike in your hands. 😉

A great place to forget about the area, various trails - forest road or singletrack. I also recommend hiking, the area is very diverse with remnants of post-war bunkers, trenches and fortifications. It's possible to walk up/down between river level and the upper ridge here, but it's much easier to do it following a minor ravine a few hundred metres south-west. It's marked as a path on Komoot.
