The bridge was built in 1905 by the Beuchelt company from Zielona Góra. At both ends of the bridge there were two brick watchtowers on the pillars - block houses in the form of neo-Gothic towers. The two-story watchtower buildings, located on either side of the track, were connected by 12-meter towers and had their own water intakes (wells). On February 3, 1945, the central span of the bridge was blown up by retreating German troops. After the war, the bridge was rebuilt in 1955. The above-ground portion of the watchtowers on the east side of the bridge have been demolished.
