Supposedly a shelter - but every time I'm here I think that it's one of the few places where you don't feel the atmosphere in the mountains (I didn't sleep, I just passed by a few times) payment only cash!!

Oh, it's definitely for tough guys. I had the climb in March at the beginning of the season, but I think I could do it "at once" in the middle/end of the season

A mountain tourist shelter of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK) at an altitude of 890 m above sea level, 800 m from the Leskowiec mountain, from which it takes its name. The location is beautiful - from the nearby Leskowiec and Gronie Jana Pawła II there are some of the most beautiful mountain panoramas in the whole of Poland (i.e. eat, sleep and watch). There is a buffet, a kitchen with full board and accommodation for tired tourists. The shelter is open all year round.

The first castle in Sucha Beskidzka – known only as Sucha until 1965 – was probably located on the same site as the later palace. After it was burned down, the then owners of Sucha sold the complex in 1554 to Kasper Suski (Italian: Gaspare Castiglione), a goldsmith from Florence who had risen to the nobility at the royal court in Kraków. By 1580 he had the architect Gregorius Kaczorowski build a Renaissance palace in Sucha based on the model of Wawel in Kraków. Since 1991, part of the palace has been used as a cultural institute and another as the Kasper Suski hotel and restaurant – named after its builder.

The dam is a modern hydrotechnical structure. It was officially put into operation on July 26, 2017. It's been over 30 years since the first work started in 1986. Paradoxically, such a long investment implementation time had a positive impact on the final result. In terms of construction, it is an earth dam. The height of the dam is 54 m and its length is 604 m. On the water side, the dam body is secured with concrete slabs. The building complex also includes a hydroelectric power plant generating 4.4 MW of electricity. The dam is open to visitors during the holiday season until October 2 (on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
