The Forest City Park in Podkowa Leśna is an important part of the city complex. It was designed together with the entire urban layout of the garden city, but its current appearance differs significantly from the original designs. The park was entered into the register of monuments in two parts: the garden at the Casino, entered by decision of 29.06.1981 under number A-1182, as greenery accompanying the building, and the remaining part of the park, entered by decision of 22.10.1981 under number A-1194, together with the entire urban layout, buildings and greenery of the garden city of Podkowa Leśna.

Fast asphalt (low resistance), almost always windy, lots of people on weekends, but still worth it...

The oldest pilgrimage to Częstochowa, documented in chronicles, set off in September 1626 from Gliwice. It was an expression of gratitude for saving the city from Danish troops during the Thirty Years' War. According to urban legends, Mary spread her cloak over the city, protecting it and forcing the enemies to flee. After the miraculous rescue, 80 townspeople set off on a pilgrimage to Częstochowa, where on September 29, 1626, they placed a banner with the image of Mary. The residents of Gliwice made a vow in the parish church that they would make the pilgrimage every year. As the city chronicles report, "this vow was pleasing to the Mother of God and beneficial to the townspeople." The second was a walking pilgrimage from Kalisz. It first set off in 1637. It is the only walking pilgrimage in Poland, during which pilgrims cover the route on foot in both directions. It lasts from August 10 to 19. The pilgrims walk a total of 300 km. The third is a walking pilgrimage from Łowicz (since 1656). The Warsaw Walking Pilgrimage to Jasna Góra, which first set off on August 6, 1711, was the fulfillment of a vow made on behalf of the residents of the capital by members of the Brotherhood of the Lord Jesus the Five-Fathers to free the city from the raging plague.
