A shelter is just a shelter, but what makes it unique are the views from above of Kąty and the entire beautiful surrounding area. And the Wisłoka River flowing through the valley below... truly magnificent!

The facility has a dedicated parking lot in the village of Jaworze (...). It's not large, so in good weather it can be difficult to find a space. Therefore, it's worth heading out early in the morning. Near the parking lot are the remains of the early medieval Walik stronghold, dating from the turn of the 9th and 10th centuries. From here, take an unmarked dirt road towards the clearly visible tower. This kilometer-long section is not demanding and will take about 15 minutes. The church was probably built in 1780 (the date "June 21, 1780" was carved in the lintel of the western portal). It is believed that the stone presbytery and sacristy may date back to 1707. A thorough renovation of the temple took place in 1932. After the displacement of the Ukrainian population, the church was taken over by the Roman Catholic Church. Due to the poor technical condition of the building, its demolition began in 1982, but fortunately it was quickly stopped. At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, the former Orthodox church was renovated.

The observation tower will be commissioned in spring 2023. It stands on the top of a non-forested hill - Góra Desznicka (501 m above sea level). Another good reason to visit the Beskid Niski Mountains. From the tower we can see Bardo, Sucha Góra, Liwocz, Wał, Grzywacka Góra, Łysa Góra, Piotruś, Kamień, Cyrla, Kolanin, and Świerzowa.
