For road cyclists, it is an attractive option, allowing you to shorten the route from Gdańsk to Krynica Morska by about 23 kilometers. The Przegalina Lock is an impressive hydrotechnical structure located on the Martwa Wisła River in Gdańsk, connecting it with the Przekop Wisły. Built in 1891–1895, the lock enables navigation between the Martwa Wisła River and the Przekop Wisły, overcoming the difference in water levels. The facility consists of two chambers: the old, currently inactive, and the new, put into service in 1983, which is one of the largest locks in Poland. For road cyclists, the lock is an interesting point on the route through Żuławy Wiślane.
