As the band Apteka once sang, "The Gdynia Shipyard, you probably know, is the most beautiful in the world." 😍 But what really dominates today is the view of the expanding container port.

In the summer it's a very crowded place (also because of cars). Out of season it's one of the better places. There are shops, restaurants and places to relax for a while. Views like in Puck County :)

Gdynia was a village until 1918. The Treaty of Versailles gave Poland access to the Baltic Sea through the Polish Corridor, but it did not have its own port. For this reason, Gdynia was systematically developed into one of the largest trading, emigration, military and fishing ports. The center of Gdynia is characterized by many modern buildings due to the strong development of the city from the 1920s onwards.
